8. Event cancellations, substitutions and refunds
A request to cancel an event registration must be submitted in writing to the contact address stated on the event page or registration confirmation.

An in-person event may be moved online, postponed or cancelled because of circumstances beyond CMASA’s reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic, public-health restriction, venue failure, labour disruption, civil unrest, transport interruption or government action.
CMASA will communicate material changes as soon as reasonably possible and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances.

-
You have the right to submit it.

It does not unlawfully infringe another person’s rights.

CMASA may decide not to publish submitted material or may remove it where reasonably necessary.
16. Third-party websites and services
The website may contain links to websites, payment facilities, event platforms or resources operated by third parties.
These links are provided for convenience. CMASA does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, services or privacy practices.
Accessing a third-party service is subject to that provider’s own terms and policies.
17. Privacy and personal information
CMASA processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable South African data-protection law.
By submitting information through the website, you acknowledge that it will be processed for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy and any notice presented when the information is collected.

-
Your unlawful misuse of the website.
-
Content you submit without the necessary rights or consent.
-
Your material breach of these Terms and Conditions.

Your infringement of another person’s rights.
This clause does not apply to loss caused by CMASA’s own unlawful conduct, gross negligence or conduct for which liability cannot legally be excluded.
21. Electronic communications
When you use the website or communicate with CMASA electronically, you consent to receiving communications from CMASA electronically where appropriate.
A message sent to CMASA will be regarded as received when CMASA acknowledges receipt or responds to it, rather than merely when it is transmitted.
You are responsible for ensuring that the contact details supplied to CMASA remain accurate.
22. Changes to these terms
CMASA may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes to its services, website, policies or legal obligations.
The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes affecting an existing paid service will be communicated where reasonably required.
Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, to the extent permitted by law.
23. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
If a dispute arises, the parties should first attempt to resolve it in good faith by contacting CMASA.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be referred to an appropriate court, regulator, ombud or dispute-resolution body with jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from exercising rights available under applicable consumer-protection law.
24. General provisions
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
A failure or delay by CMASA in enforcing a right does not mean that the right has been waived.
These Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and any service-specific terms presented at the time of purchase or registration, constitute the agreement governing use of the relevant website service.
